Despite conceding a goal against Asante Kotoko on Friday night, George Owu has been lauded by Coach David Duncan for making splendid and important save to deny Kotoko from scoring more than one.

The Porcupine Warriors fetched their first win in the Ghana Premier League over the Sekondi-based side but Hasaacas goalie George Owu was splendid.

Owu stood between the post and the Kotoko attacking machinery denying them the opener until the 73rd minute when Kwame Boateng found the back of the net.

And Duncan says Owu’s fine form saved the visitors from conceding more.

“I must commend George Owu for the splendid saves he pulled either than that they would have conceded more than one,” Duncan said.

“You all saw the magnificent save he made when Dauda Moahmmed nearly broke the virginity of the game in the first half and Obed Owusu’s header as well.”

“He is a fine goalkeeper and I think he must keep it up. Some of the saves that he pulled were top class saves. He really saved Hasaacas yesterday.”

Duncan’s men will be visiting the dreaded Nana Agyemang Badu Park for their sixth week clash with Aduana Stars after the one week break.
