Egypt assistant coach Osama Nabih has confirmed striker Ahmed Hassan Koka remains a doubt for Sunday's tough World Cup qualifier against Ghana.

The SC Braga player has not played since featuring for the Portuguese side in their Europa League win over Konyaspor.

He missed last week's visit to Maritimo and might not be selected to for the match in Alexandria.

''There are some players that played on Sunday and we had to rest them,'' Nabih told ON Sport.

''Ahmed Hassan Koka is the only one that hasn't been prepared for the game and we have to wait until November 13 to know whether he will play or not.

''I don’t want to say that Paulo is Koka’s backup. We have 24 players and we will be in confusion to drop a player from the list.

''Any player can start against Ghana and we would have added 30 players to the list if we could.''
