Ex Ghana captain reveals motive for joining Right to Dream Academy

The provision of formal education is the main reason ex Ghana captain C.K Akunnor decided to join Right to Dream Academy and not for financial gains.

The academy founded by British social impact entrepreneur, Tom Vernon has handed several learning opportunities to kids in Ghana to land scholarship schemes to further their education mainly in the US and Europe while playing football.

And this the newly appointed Ghana U-20 assistant coach says was the main factor in making up his mind to join the academy and not for the money.

"This academy is not all about playing football. It also give the kids here an alternative route to success in life and that is the main reason why I decided to come here," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"I am quite happy in life with what I have achieved but would like to also help the young ones do same or even better.

"My decision to come here was never about money, I am just interested in helping make kids better their lives and Right to Dream gives them that opportunity."
