Reports indicate that former Manchester City supremo Yaya Touré has joined top Brazillian side, Vasco da Gama.

The club's president Luiz Leven Siano had promised to sign the former Ivorian international if he won the club's presidential elections.

And on Thursday, Siano posted a video on Instagram claiming that Toure had agreed to join the side.

"Welcome, Yaya Touré! Thank you for trusting our project for Vasco de Gama," the post read.

Additionally, in the same video, Yaya Touré appears to announce his arrival at the former Brazilian champions.

"I would like to thank Leven for including me in this project. I can't wait to see all the Vasco fans very soon," he said.

Touré has been without a club after terminating his contract with a Chinese club. He also played in Greece after ending a successful stay at Manchester City.
