Former Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano says he supports the prospect of Dejan Stankovic taking the coaching job.
Stankovic is favourite for the post after Marco Giampaolo's sacking.
Cassano told Bobo TV: "Deki (Stankovic) is a Serbian, he has the attributes and he pulls them out, I don't know how he trains but sure you need someone who attacks the people on the wall."
But it is Daniele De Rossi who is Fantantonio's favourite: "I would have liked Daniele so much, because I am convinced: it would be fresh air, someone with a great personality who knows what it means to have attributes and bring them out, I would like him to come.
"Starting with a beautiful club like Sampdoria means starting in a great way. There are 30 games to go, you have teams like Lecce or Monza or Cremonese in front of you, you can climb up."
