EXCLUSIVE: HNK Sibenik forward Prince Ampem refuses new contract amid interest from Rijeka

Ghanaian forward Prince Ampem has refused to sign a contract extension at Croatian side HNK Sibenik following interest from giants Rijeka, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The former WAFA lad has been offered a new deal by Sibenik but the 22-year-old remains reluctant with reports in Croatia heavily linking him with the capital based club.

GHANASoccernet.com can disclose Ampem was given a fresh deal six months ago which he declined with his current contract set to expire in the summer.

“I see, I read how it is written that Labrović and Prince are going to Rijeka for the summer. What I do know is that Å ibenik has offered both of them new contracts, and that they have been talking to both players about it for six months. They have not signed new contracts so far, and I can't say whether they will do that,” said Sibenik President Josip Bulat.

“We can't force them, but we are also not so strong that they don't play or defend until the end of the season,” he added.

Ampem has scored two in five matches for the Oranges this season.
