EXCLUSIVE: Watford interested in Ghana defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh

Published on: 01 July 2020

Ghana defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has popped up on the radar of English Premier League outfit Watford, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The 28-year old has become a subject of interest for the Hornets after parting ways with Wolverhampton Wanderers following the expiration of his contract.

According to sources close to the player, the defender could remain in England despite a torrid spell with Wolves due to injuries.

Watford have struggled this season following inconsistent form coupled with poor defense, but still remain the only club to beat newly crowned champions Liverpool.

Manager Nigel Pearson is believed to be looking at beefing up his defense ahead of next season with the Ghanaian a possible candidate.

Ofosu-Ayeh joined Wolves from Eintracht Braunschweig in 2017, but failed to make a single appearance for the club before leaving in 2020.

The one time capped Ghana international is now a free agent and could join any club.
