Roma forward Iago Falque spoke of the club’s ‘many regrets’ after they threw away a two goal lead to draw with Chievo.
The Giallorossi took the lead through Umar Sadiq and Alessandro Florenzi before conceding twice, and after going ahead once more through Falque they conceded late on to lose out on a further two points.
“New year, same old Roma? We have many regrets, especially after going 2-0 up,” said the attacker to RomeTV.
“They made it 2-1 and returned to the game, we managed to find our way after it became a draw but it was too late, we had stopped playing our game,” he continued.
Roma host AC Milan on the weekend, in a game which could prove crucial to coach Rudi Garcia’s future.
“We cannot waste time on Saturday, we have an important game in which we must correct our errors.”
