Ghana forward David Abagna Sandam resumes training with RTU after long injury layoff

Real Tamale United captain David Abagna Sandam has resumed training with the club after a long injury layoff.

Abagna was among the five-home based players selected as part of the Ghana squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nation following a bright start to the season with eight goals. Then leading top scorer of the Ghana Premier League.

The former Ashantigold SC forward picked up an injury in training whilst with the Black Stars at the tournament.

Sandam sustained a toe injury which has ruled him out for close to three months.

The forward has recovered and is currently training with the team according to our checks.

His return will be a major boost for the Tamale-based side considering their position on the league table.

David Abagna will not be available for the game against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
