Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has shared his delight over his recent triumph over a serious injury.
The AC Milan star had surgery last summer to fix a serious knee problem which kept him out for almost six months.
The 28-year-old was however quick to regain his form upon his injury return to reclaim his regular spot in the Milan team.
Muntariââ¬â¢s return to top form has also seen him return to the Black Stars set up where he is most likely to start the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on Sunday.
The ex Inter Milan enforcer is now reveling in the joy of having to see through another challenging time in his career.
ââ¬ÅGreat (how it feels to return from injury), I went through hard times but I never gave up. It is part of life,â⬠he told MTNFootball.com.
ââ¬ÅIf you want to succeed you go through a certain path and that path is not always going to be smooth.
ââ¬ÅSo I am happy to be back and happy to see what is going on.ââ¬
Muntariââ¬â¢s return has coincided with a rich vein of form for his club in the Italian Serie-A where Milan have worked their way to within just two points of second-placed Napoli.
He again gave Milan a second-goal cushioning in their Champions League first leg game of the Round of 16 tie against Barcelona but the Italian side were unable to make it count as they bowed out on a 4-2 losing aggregate.
