Ghana forward Andre Ayew is now a player of Al Sadd after completing his transfer to the Qatari top-flight club on Thursday.

Pictures released by the club show Ayew all smiles as he signed his bumper contract after passing mandatory medical in Doha.

Ayew, captain of the Black Stars, is the latest Ghanaian to move from Europe to the Arab world this summer transfer window.

Afriyie Acquah and Christian Atsu earlier secured respective bumper deals with Saudi top-flight clubs.

Ayew also a free agent after amicably parting ways with Swansea City has signed a contract reported to be three years and will reward him $220,000 per month.

At Al Sadd, Ayew is expected to dominate Qatar as well as make the club a strong force in the Asian Champions League.

He will have the opportunity to tap into knowledge of Spain and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez. The World Cup and multiple Champions League winner has been head coach of Al Sadd since he hanged his boots in 2019.
