Ghanaian forward Kevin Luckassen joins Dutch side Almere City

Ghanaian striker Kevin Luckassen has joined Dutch second tier side Almere City on a year deal after excelling on trials, GHANASoccernet can confirm. 

The former AZ Alkmaar forward has been training with Michele Santoni side since last week, and following his impressive displays he was handed a one year contract.

The pacey marksman excelled in a friendly match against Heracles Almelo where they lost 2-1 before finally signing him.

“After wandering abroad, Kevin joined Almere City FC to reboot his career  . It is a strongly built and fast player, which is multifunctional in the forefront. ” said Technical director of Robert Maaskant Almere City.

Kevin hails from a family of footballers as his brother Derrick plays for Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven while Brian and Samuel Brobbey play for Ajax and Jong Almere City respectively.

Kevin made his official debut as a professional footballer for AZ in a cup match against FC Groningen in 2011.
