Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Sarfo reacts to APOEL's big win against AC Omonia in Cyprus

Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Sarfo excelled as APOEL thumped AC Omonia Nicosia in the Cypriot league on Friday, February 25, 2022.

The former Malmo player started and was replaced in the 94th minute as APOEL thrashed Omonia 4-2 at the GSP Stadium.

The one time capped Ghana player took to Twitter to express delight in the big win on the road.

"Great team effort, great away win. Thanks to all APOEL FC supporters for the massive support," he wrote.

APOEL got off to a great start after forward Giorgi Kvilitaia netted the opener after 19 minutes before Tomas Di Vicenti doubled the lead two minutes after the break.

Kvilitaia added his second of the game from the spot in the 55th minute but Mix Duskerud pulled one back for the hosts four minutes later.

 

Lucas Vieira de Souza restored the three goal lead for APOEL with 20 minutes left.

Omonia Nicosia scored again to half the deficit after Andronikos Kakoullis scored in the 79th minute.

Sarfo's compatriot Kingsley Sarfo was a second half substitute for Omonia Nicosia.
