Ghanaian youngster Junior Safo signs first professional contract at Portuguese side FC Vizela

Ghanaian youngster Junior Safo has signed his first professional contract at Portuguese side Futebol Clube de Vizela, the club have announced.

Safo who has been a key member of the Vizela U18 set up inked a three-year contract which will see him stay at the club until 2023.

Safo has been promoted to the first team of Vizela following an outstanding season.

The 18-year-old joined the Portuguese lower-tier side from Rising Stars of Africa, a renowned academy located in Accra.

"I am very happy to remain at the club. I want to continue to learn and grow here," Safo said after signing the contract.

"My expectations for the next season are to help my colleagues, fight for my opportunities and, who knows, score goals, something I really like to do."
