Ghana’s leading football site, GHANAsoccernet.com brings to you the best five top-performing Ghanaian players in Europe’s top leagues for the 2019/20 season.

The players to have been listed have been outstanding this season for their respective clubs and have either won accolades or been chased by clubs due to their output in this campaign.

  1. Jordan Ayew- Crystal Palace

Jordan Ayew finished off the season with a lot of personal laurels after being adjudged the Crystal Palace Player of the season after his outstanding performances in the 2019-20 campaign.

Ayew was also named the Players' Player of the Season and his 87th- minute winning strike against West Ham United back in October was awarded the Goal of the Season.

The Black Stars striker also set a new record this season as Ghana’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League with his ninth goal of the campaign.

Jordan Ayew scored 25 goals in 129 matches to surpass former Leeds United star Anthony Yeboah who scored 24 goals in 47 games.

  1. Andre Ayew- Swansea City

Andre Ayew is in contention to be named Swansea City’s player of the season following his outstanding contribution to the club this season.

The 30-year-old scored 16 goals after 45 league appearances this  campaign for Swansea propelling them to the Championship play-offs.

Andre Ayew also finished the season as Ghana’s leading top scorer in Europe this season with his 16 goals.

According to reports French giants PSG have tabled a 5 million euro offer to sign the Ghanaian superstar

 

  1. Mohammed kudus- Ajax Amsterdan

The Ghanaian youngster enjoyed a good campaign with Danish side Norsdjaelland scoring 11 goals in 25 appearances this campaign.

Kudus was nominated for the Golden boy awards following his outstanding performances in the Danish league for Nordsjaelland.

The 20-year-old capped his season with a transfer move to European giants Ajax Amsterdam.

  1. Mohammed Salisu- Real Valadolid

Just his debut topflight season in Spain, and the 20-year old has already popped up on the radar of Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Getafe are the other side to be monitoring the player. Meanwhile reports in England suggests Manchester United and Southampton are also interested in the player.

Mohammed Salisu has been a constant figure in the Real Valladolid team this season, making 27 appearances for the club co-owned by Brazilian legend Ronaldo. Salisu has also scored a goal and has an assist to his named. His strong physique and aerial ability are some of his strengths. It's hard to find a weakness in the rookie.

  1. Thomas Partey- Atletico Madrid

Thomas Partey has been one of Atletico Madrid’s key performers this season making 32 appearances in this campaign and has scored two goals.

Partey has been linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano this summer with English side Arsenal set to be his next destination according to reports in the media.
