Hearts of Oak assistant coach Edward Nii Odoom has called on the teaming fans of the club to support the club with prayers insisting it is the only antidote to their current woes.

Odoom believes that his players needs total spiritual intervention from the fans to enable them perform better in the ongoing Ghana premier League.

In an interview on OTEC FM in Kumasi, Odoom noted that Hearts of Oak players are doing their best but demanded massive spiritual interventions from the supporters for them to succeed.

“What the team needs now is supplication as well as divine edification even though the boys (players) are doing their best but there are more to be done to enable them to overcome these challenges,” he said.

“We have Christians, Muslims and Buddhist among our supporters, they should all pray if they love the team,” he added

Hearts are currently in 9th on the league table with 10 points after recording their fourth loss of the season against Karela FC.

Newly promoted Karela United FC with a spirited second-half performance overturned 1-0 deficit to beat Hearts of Oak 3-1 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial park on Wednesday in Nzema Aiyinase.
