Hearts midfielder Uriah Asante counting on new signings

Hearts of Oak midfielder Uriah Asante remains optimistic the new signings will aid their title quest this season.

The Phobians have had the funds to bring in 13 new players for the second half of the season with ex-international Laryea Kingson the most high profile acquisition.

Serbian trainer Nebjosa Vucevivic will have a lot at his disposal to pick a team when the Premier League resumes on Sunday.

Asante, one of the club's key performers for the first half of the season, says there are ready for a revitalized campaign

"We’re very prepared now and as you can see we've been in camp for a month and a week and the coaches are here with us in camp," Asante told Radio XYZ

"We’re training and working hard towards the second round of the league. I am happy with the crop of new players we’ve got so far to beef up the team."

Hearts faces a tricky duel against Heart of Lions at Kpando on Sunday.
