I will "only be really happy" if we finish in the play-offs, Swansea City's Andre Ayew

Swansea City forward Andre Ayew says he will "only be really happy" if his side make the play-offs despite his impressive run this season.

The Swans will battle Reading on Wednesday in a crunch tie, hoping to win while Hull City do them a huge favour by securing a win at sixth-placed Cardiff City.

While the stakes are high for both clubs, it appears almost difficult for Andre Ayew's side to secure a play-off bid as Cardiff City could be too strong for the relegation-threatened side.

And the Ghana captain, who is the club's leading top scorer with 17 goals so far this season, says he will only really be happy if the club can sneak in.

"The quality is there but to get into the Premier League you need quality, young players and experience," Ayew added.

"When you want to win and get to another level, you need experience in your squad.

"Maybe we needed a few more to add to what we have already, but I'm happy with what I've seen.

"The boys have grown quickly and I hope it's not too late for this season.

"We're not going to think about next season, we're going to think about this one because it's still on."
