Jordan Ayew is the highest scorer of winning goals in the English Premier League this season

A total of 584 goals had been scored in English Premier League as at the time it was being suspended due to the outbreak of the global pandemic coronavirus.

Jamie Vardy, the Leicester City striker is leading the golden boot race with 19 goals. However, not always the top scorer is the prime reason behind a team's major success.

Credit must also go to those who rise to the occasion when their teams need the match points most.

There have been several major clutch players in premiership so far this season and here are six players who have scored the most winning goals as at the time of the break.

Richarlison – Three

The Brazilian attacker has been the most dynamic forward for Everton this season and has played everywhere across the front. Richarlison is one of the reasons why the Toffees resurgency under new manager Carlo Ancelotti has been impressive.
He has bagged 10 goals this term in which three have been winning goals. Those vital goals were against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Raul Jimenez – Three

The big Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker is one of the highly rated prolific scorers in the premiership. He is the main man and character in Wolves attack this campaign. The Mexican striker has netted 13 goals so far with three being winning goals against Norwich City, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Roberto Firmino – Three

The Brazilian is enduring a comparative rough patch this season. He is having a rollercoaster campaign but has been one of the most decisive players for Liverpool's title challenge this campaign. Firmino has scored a total of eight goals and three of those have come out as match winners. Two late winners against Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers and the solitary strike against Tottenham Hotspur.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Four

The Gabon top marksman has been the talisman for Arsenal this term, just like every other season since he joined. He has been pivotal in a struggling Gunners side. The north London side’s position could have been worse if not for his 17 league goals. Aubameyang has won four matches for Arsenal by scoring the winners against Newcastle United, Burnley FC, Aston Villa and Everton FC.

Sadio Mané – Five

Sadio Mane is one best players in the season by far and is one of the key reasons behind Liverpool's outstanding title campaign. Mané has been the most clutch player this season for the Reds scoring five winning goals contributing which amount to 15 points. He has scored and assisted goals for fun so far this season.

The Senegalese's five winning goals came against Norwich City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa, West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth.

Jordan Ayew – Five

Ayew has made most goals contribution for Crystal Palace in the premiership this season even though the Eagles have not scored many. The Ghana striker has scored eight league goals with five of those proving to be match winners coming against Brighton and Hove Albion, Aston Villa, Watford FC and twice against West Ham United. .
