Juventus are ready to continue their spending spree this summer with a huge offer for Santos striker Gabriel Barbosa, commonly known as ‘Gabigol’.
The 19-year-old Santos forward has been compared to former club striker Neymar, and has impressed so much that he has already been called up to the Brazilian national side, for whom he scored two goals in four appearances.
The Bianconeri have seen enough and are hoping to persuade Santos to accept a huge €18m offer for their key player, according to Sky Italia.
Barbosa has reportedly already agreed to sign for the Italian Serie A champions as he has been convinced by their project, but the problem is to convince his club, who seem adamant to hold onto their prized asset.
He recently agreed to stay at the club until 2021 after penning a new contract extension.
‘Gabigol’ has been with Santos since he joined their youth academy in 2004, and has made 81 appearances so far, scoring 23 goals and providing 12 assists.
