Kevin Boateng wants Tevez at AC Milan

Former Ghana international Kevin Prince Boateng has urged AC Milan to sign Manchester City outcast Carlos Tevez to the San Siro during the January transfer window.

The Rossoneri are set to bring in a new forward to cover for the absence of Antonio Cassano after his recent heart surgery.

The Manchester City forward is liked, but Catania attacker Maxi Lopez has also been linked with the Diavolo.

"Maxi is playing well, but we need someone like Carlitos,” the midfielder told the Corriere dello Sport.

"It would be excessive to sign both of them…

"Cassano is a champion and we miss him. You just have to look at what he achieved in the first four months of the season.

"Robinho and Alexandre Pato are as good as him, but Antonio has different characteristics so he can offer something different to the side."

While a striker is set to arrive, another may depart with rumours suggesting that Pippo Inzaghi will move on in January.

“He knows where the goal is, but he is also 38,” Boateng continued.

"It's normal to lose a bit of pace, but I don’t decide whether he plays or not.”

Boateng joined the Rossoneri in 2010 from Genoa and he’s been a massive hit at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

"I’m happy here and I want to stay," he commented. "I have a four-year contract and it is my desire to respect it.

''I play for a great club in a great city, but you never know what will happen in life.''
