Kotoko midfielder Adjei open to Hearts move

Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei says he is open to a move to Hearts of Oak.

Last season’s Premier League’s MVP has been heavily linked to join the Phobians in a reported swap deal which will see striker Mahatma Otoo moving the opposite direction.

Reports of the swap deal has gained momentum after Kotoko presented an audacious bid to land Hearts’ leading striker.

The insistence of the swap deal plus cash by Hearts of Oak according to reports is believed to be a dissentive to the Kumasi-based club in their pursuit of the 2011 All Africa Games goal king and gold medalist.

But the enterprising midfielder has waded into the discussions by declaring himself open to a move to Kotoko’s swron rivals.

“It is football so you can never rule out such a move if indeed they (Hearts) make an approach,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“They however have to speak with officials of Kotoko because I am still their player though I my contract is coming to an end.

“I am working so I can never rule out such an opportunity and any other for that matter but like I said, it all depends on Kotoko.”
