LIGUE 1 - Lille entering the race to Zinedine Ferhat

Published on: 19 October 2021

Previously approached by Saint-Etienne, Montpellier, and Strasbourg, 28-year old Algerian international attacking midfielder, winger and second striker Zinedine Ferhat, who ended up staying put in Ligue 2 realms with Nimes Olympique, has allegedly grown into a market target also for Ligue 1 defending champions Lille.

Meanwhile, Nimes head of football, Reda Hammache, asked about the matter by Objectif Gard, pointed out: "We've been debating it, of course, but things are improving. Zinedine is involved, and is once again part of the full group. A departure this winter? I don't know about that. For him as for the others, we are obliged to open an ear and an eye to the possible interests. The priority of the club is not to obtain a severance pay. And I do not bind the departures of the players in the club standings".

Only on a deal with Nimes until June 2022, Ferhat, allegedly worth 8 million euros, has recently been inquired about by Olympique de Marseille as well.
