Manchester United set gaze on Juventus forward

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata may be set for a move to the Premier League with Manchester United next summer.

With Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay all struggling to deliver the goods this season, the Red Devils will likely be in the market for a new centre-forward and the highly-rated Spanish international may fit the bill.

According to La Stampa, Real Madrid intend to make use of their €35 million buyback clause and then proceed to flip the dynamic No. 9 to United for a further €10 million.

In this scenario, all parties involved could see themselves coming out as winners and Juventus may use a modest portion of the money to replace the outgoing 23-year-old with Pescara’s Gianluca Lapadula who currently leads Serie B in scoring.

Morata has seven goals and three assists in in 33 matches across all competition, although 12 of those appearances have come in a substitute role behind Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala.
