Mohammed Awal wins $70,000 compensation against Raja Casablanca

Ghanaian defender Mohammed Awal has won a $70,000 compensation case against former club Raja Casablanca.

The former Asante Kotoko defender will receive the money for the non payment of his salaries during his days with the Moroccan outfit.

Mohammed joined Raja Casablanca in 2015 from Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab but his stay at the club was ended abruptly following failure to pay his wages.

The 32-year old's contract, who had made 23 appearance for the Green Eagles saw his contract terminated unlawfully after complains over his pay.

The matter was reported to FIFA, who instructed the club pay the towering defender monies owed.

He joins Adel Karrouchi and Nigeria's Osagona as players to be settled by the club.

The defender has since gone on to play for Arsenal Tula, Asante Kotoko, Al Fahaheel and Al Ansar.
