1972: AC Milan win their 2nd Coppa Italia

Milan won their second Coppa Italia in history, beating Napoli 2-0 in the final in Rome. It all happened in the second half, with Panzanato's own goal in the 49th minute and Rosato's goal in the 78th minute.

1982: Italy-Brazil 3-2, a hat-trick by Paolo Rossi

On July 5, 1982 in Barcelona, Bearzot's Azzurri defeated the heavily favored Brazil 3-2, advancing to the semi-finals of the tournament. The protagonist of the day was Paolo Rossi, who scored all 3 Italian goals, equalling the record of Angelo Schiavio, until then the only Italian hat-trick scorer at the World Cup (Italy vs. United States 7-1 on 27 May 1934).

1986: Piermario Morosini would have been 35 today

Piermario Morosini, born on 5 July 1986 in Bergamo, would have been 35 today. He tragically died during Pescara-Livorno in Serie B on 14 April 2012. Morosini played for Udinese, Bologna, Vicenza, Reggina, Padova and Livorno.
