Ex-England midfielder Owen Hargreaves is refusing to criticize Chelsea defender Baba Rahman for his insipid performance in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Stoke City in the English Premier League.

Many singled out the performance of the Ghana international for criticize following the defeat at the Britannia.

But Hargreaves, a former Manchester United player, believes Rahman’s impressive is as a result of Eden Hazard inability to track back.

“The left side of Chelsea’s defence is the weakest part of their set up. Hazard must help Baba Rahman to defend but he didn’t do that - leaving Rahman to defend all alone,” he said.

Rahman is on international duty with the Black Stars to face Comoros Islands in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
