European football specialist, Reuben Obodai brings you a comprehensive update on how Ghanaian players performed in abroad this weekend.

It was one of the unproductive weekends for Ghanaian players as only one player registered his name on the scoresheet during the three days of action.

However, Kingsley Schindler kept the smiles on his fans by notching up another goal for Holstein Kiel as they won big at Duisburg.

Jeffrey Schlupp climbed from the bench to play a part in Crystal Palace record their first home victory in the campaign following a win over Burnley.

After suspension ruled him out of the UEFA Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek, Kasim Nuhu exhibited one of his best performances in TSG Hoffenheim jersey as they shared the spoils with Schalke 04.

ENGLAND

Jeffrey Schlupp cameoed while Jordan Ayew warmed the bench for Crystal Palace as they recorded their first home victory in the league after beating Burnley 2-0.

Huddersfield lost 2-1 at home to Brighton Collin Quaner missed the game for the Terriers through injury.

Leicester City beat Watford 2-0 at home: Daniel Amartey missed the action for the Foxes through injury.

Newcastle United lost 3-0 at home to West Ham United. Christian Atsu came on in the 54th minute for the losers.

Dennis Odoi played full throttle and was booked for Fulham FC in the West London Derby against Chelsea. Fulham lost 2-0

In the Championship, Andy Yiadom played 90 minutes for Reading FC in their 2-2 draw with Stoke City.

Albert Adomah missed Aston Villa 3-0 win over Middlesbrough through injury.

In the National League, Nortei Notey warmed the bench for Dover Athletic in their 2-2 draw with Eastleigh.

Harold Odametey and Nana Owusu all warmed the bench for Maidenhead when they lost 2-1 to Harrogate.

In the FA Cup, Kwame Thomas came on in the 79th minute for Solihull Moors when they played goalless with Blackpool FC. Joe Dodoo was substituted in the 82nd minute for Blackpool.

Alex Addai climbed off the bench to score a consolation for Cheltenham Town in their 3-1 loss at Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup.

AFC Wimbledon won 3-1 against FC Halifax Town in the FA Cup. Kwesi Appiah was not part of the victors team.

Brandon Wiredu cameoed for Charlton Athletic when they lost 2-0 to Doncaster Rovers.

Bernard Mensah warmed the bench for Lincoln City when they won 2-0 against Carlisle United.

Emmanuelson Duku made a brief appearance for Barnet in their 1-0 win over Stockport in the FA Cup.

Duane Ofori-Acheampong warmed the bench for Woking as they pipped Swindon Town 1-0 at away.

Daniel Agyei scored his ninth goal for Burnley U23 in their 2-2 draw with West Brom U23.

SPAIN

Thomas Partey played full throttle for Atletico Madrid when they played a pulsating 1-1 draw with Girona. He received a yellow card in the game.

Mubarak Wakaso played 74 minutes for Deportivo Alaves matchday squad that played 1-1 with Sevilla. Patrick Twumasi was left out of Alaves matchday squad.

In the Segunda Division, Richard Boateng warmed the bench for Real Oviedo when they played a goalless draw with Las Palmas.

Yaw Yeboah dazzled for CD Numancia in their 3-0 win over Gimnastic Terragona.

Isaac Coffie was substituted in the 56th minute for Sporting Gijon when they won 2-1 against Tenerife in the Laliga 2.

Ernest Ohemeng was named in the Mirandes teams for their 1-1 draw at Real Oviedo II.

Former Dreams FC midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey did not make the Villarreal II squad for their 3-0 win over Teruel.

Paul Quaye could not make the Talavera squad for their 0-0 draw with Linense.

Kwabena Owusu scored both goals for Salmantino when they beat Cultural Leonesa 2-0 on Sunday. He has now scored 7 league goals.

ITALY

Afriyie Acquah warmed the bench for Empoli intheir 2-2 draw with Spal.

Godfred Donsah warmed the bench for Bologna when they lost 4-1 to Sampdoria.

Rahman Chibsah played full throttle for Frosinone in their 1-1 draw with Cagliari.

Alfred Duncan played 90 minutes Sassuolo when they played goalless with Udinese. Nicholas Opoku warmed the bench of Udinese while Kevin Prince Boateng and Claud Adjapong missed the game for Sassuolo through injuries.

Kwadwo Asamoah played full throttle for Inter Milan and received a booking in their 2-2 draw with AS Roma.

In the Seria B: Bright Addae lasted the entire duration of the game for Ascoli and recorded an assist as they beat Spezia 3-1. Emmanuel Gyasi was substituted in the 85th minute for the losers.

Moses Odjer was a bench warmer for Salernitana in their 3-1 away defeat at Cittadella.

In the Serie C: Bismarck Ngissah warmed the bench for Viterbese when played 2-2 with Trapani.

GERMANY

Hans Nunoo Sarpei warmed the bench for VfB Stuttgart when they piped Augsburg 1-0.

Kasim Nuhu played 90 minutes and was booked for TSG Hoffenheim when they played a pulsating 1-1 draw with Schalke 04. Baba Rahman was not part of Schalke’s matchday team.

Derrick Luckasssen was not included in Hertha Berlin matchday that won 2-0 against Hannover 96.

In the Bundasliga 2, Bernard Tepketey and Christopher Antwi-Adjei played full throttle and was booked for SC Paderborn 07 when they played a 2-2 draw with Arminia Bielefeld. Prince Owusu was introduced on the 80th minute mark for Bielefeld.

Duisburg lost 4-0 at home to Holstein Kiel. Kingsely Schindler was on target again for Kiel. Joseph-Claud Gyau was not part of the losers team likewise Awuku Noah for the victors.

Jan Gyamarah played full throttle and was booked for VfL Bochum when they played goalless with Magdeburg.

David Atanga was substituted in the 64th minute for Greuther Furth when they were thrashed 4-0 by FC Koln.

Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Weidlich was in action for Energie Cottbus who lost 2-0 against visiting Uerdingen.

Bundasliga 3: German-born Ghanaian Steffan Nkansah captained Eintracht Braunschweig to a 2-2 draw with Aalen.

Braydon Manu played full throttle for Hallescher against Preussen Munster. They won 2-1.

Daniel Kofi Kyere was absent from SV Wehen’s team that beat Lotte 2-0.

Meppen defeated Fortuna Koln 3-0. Bernard Kyere was not part of the losers team.

FRANCE

Grejohn Kyei was left out of RC Lens matchday when they played out a 2-2 draw with Lorient.

FC Nantes lost 3-0 to Saint Etienne. Majeed Waris was substituted in the 68th minute while Enoch Kwateng played 90 minutes for the losers.

Lawrence Ati Zigi was an unused substitute for Sochaux when they lost 1-0 to Chatearoux.

Ebenezer Assifuah cameoed for Le Havre in their 1-1 draw with AJ Auxerre.

John Boye was booked when he played 90 minutes for FC Metz in their 1-1 draw with Grenoble.

Emmanuel Ntim was not included in Valenciennes matchday squad as they shared the spoils with FC Paris.

THE NETHERLANDS

PSV lost 2-1 to Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. Cody Gakpo was not in the losers matchday team.

Jonathan Opoku gave an assist on the 65th minutes and was substituted 10 minutes later for VVV Venlo when they lost 4-1 to Heracles.

Leeroy Owusu played 90 minutes for De Graafschap in their 2-0 home loss to PEC Zwolle.

Myron Boadu missed AZ Alkmaar 2-0 home defeat to Willem II through injury.

In the Eerste Division, Asumah Abubakar made a brief appearance for Maastricht in their 1-1 stalemate with Jong AZ.

Kevin Luckassen missed Almere City 1-1 draw with Telstar through suspension.

Rodney Antwi cameoed for Volendam as they were thrashed 5-1 by NEC Nijmegen.

AUSTRIA

Samuel Tetteh came on in the 63rd minute for LASK Linz when played a 3-3 draw with Hartberg.

Seth Painstil was missing in action for Admira Wacker when they played 2-2 with SV Mattersburg.

ALBANIA

The Tirana derby ended 2-1 in favour of Partizani Tirana as they won against KF Tirana. Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Mensah was in action for Partizani for 90 minutes while Vincent Atinga also starred in defence for the losers but Winful Cobbina did not play.

Former Asante Kotoko attacker Latif Amadu played for Teuta Durres FK in their 1-0 away win over Skënderbeu Korçë.b

ARMENIA

Lori remain without a win in their last seven games in the league as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to visiting Ararat-Armenia. Ghanaian pair of Annan Mensah and Nana Kwame Antwi played for Lori. But Richard Botchway and Ibrahim Fuseini were in their squad for the game.

Banants dismissed Shiraks 4-0 in an entertaining fixture. Ghanaian pair of Edward Kpodo and Nathaniel Asamoah both played for the winners.

AZERBAIJAN

Striker Kwame Karikari was unused by Neftci Baku as he warmed the bench in their 2-1 away win over Sabah Baku.

BELGIUM

KAA Gent played 2-2 with Sporting Lokeren. Nana Kwesi Asare captained Gent and played full throttle for Gent.

Bernard Kumordzi secured 90 minutes for Kortrijk when they pipped Mouscron 1-0.

Daniel Opare played the first half while William Owusu was an unused substitute for Royal Antwerp as they lost 1-3 to Sint Truiden. Samuel Asamoah played 90 minutes while Elton Acolatse was introduced in the 57th minute for the victors.

Joseph Aidoo played full throttle to help his side KRC Genk pip Anderlecht 1-0. Joseph Painstil warmed the victors bench, while Francis Amuzu was substituted in the 88th minute for the losers

Eric Ocansey played full throttle for KAS Eupen while Opoku Ampomah also did same for Waasland Beveren when the two sides clashed. Eupen won 1-0.

Ernest Agyiri scores for Tubize before being substituted in the 75th minute. Tubize defeated St. Gilloise 2-0.

BELARUS

Dinamo Minsk recorded an impressive consecutive 3-0 away wins against Torpedo Minsk. Seidu Yahya played full throttle for the victors.

Gideon Baah missed FC Gomel 3-1 home loss to Vitebsk through suspension.

Joel Fameyeh played 75 minutes for Dinamo Brest in their 3-0 win at Neman. Saliw Babawo was not in the Brest squad for the game.

BULGARIA

Derrick Mensah warmed the bench when his side Dunav Ruse lost 3-0 to Levski Sofia.

Michael Tawiah was left out of Vereya matchday that played 2-2 draw with Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Ishmael Baidu played 64 minutes for Septemvri Sofia when they lost 4-1 to Botev Vratsa.

Edwin Gyasi received a booking when he played 90 minutes for CSKA Sofia when they lost 1-0 to Slavia Sofia.

BOSNIA

Former Brescia midfielder Nana Addo Welbeck played for Mladost Doboj in their 2-1 defeat at Sloboda.

Obeng Regan played 71 minutes for Istra 1961 when they lost 2-0 to his former side Inter Zapresic at home.

Ahmed Said was missing in action for Hadjuk Split as they thrashed Rudes 4-1.

Emmanuel Oti Essigba played full throttle for Esbjerg FB when they lost 4-1 to Aalborg BK.

Godsway Donyoh was substituted on the 90th minute while Mohammed Kudus came on in the 66th minute for Nordsjaelland when they won 2-1 against Sonderjyske. Ibrahim Sadiq warmed the bench for the victors with Clinton Antwi being left out of their squad.

Yaw Amankwah played 90 minutes for Hobro when they lost 1-0 to Brondby. Kelvin Mensah missed the game for the victors through injury while Collins Tanor was left out of the losers squad.

HUNGARY

Ashdod finally won a game in the league after nine games as they beat Ironi Kiryat 1-0 on Saturday. Ghanaian midfielder Leonard Owusu was in action for the winners.

KOSOVO

Khalid Abdul Basit scored the second goal for Prishtina in their 2-0 win over Drita.

MALTA

Former Inter Milan Primavera midfielder Isaac Ntow Tuah played 90 minutes and scored in the 88th minutes for Hibernians in their 5-1 punishment to Qormi in the FA Trophy.

MONTENEGRO

Alex Yamoah was not in the squad for Zeta when they played goalless draw with Mornar Bar.

PORTUGAL

Alhassan Wakaso was in the heart of midfield for Vitoria Guimaraes when they defeated Chaves 1-0. Henry Medarious missed the game for the victors through injury.

Emmanuel Hackman warmed the bench for Portimonense in their 3-2 win over Tondela.

Isaac Donkor lasted the entire duration of the game for U. Craiova 1948 when they piped Calarasi 1-0. He went into the referee's book.

Former Ebusua Dwarfs attacker Richard Gadze also came off the bench to play for Voluntari when they lost 5-0 at CFR Cluj.

SOUTH AFRICA

Samuel Darphoh warmed the bench for Amazulu when they won 1-0 against Chippa United.

Nana Akosah-Bempah warmed the bench for Cape Town City FC when they lost 2-0 to Highlands.

Midfielder Edwin Gyimah was on the Bidvest Wits bench for their 0-0 stalemate at Black Leopards.
