Preview - Group H: Kawasaki Frontale (JPN) v Ulsan Hyundai FC (KOR)

Kawasaki: Korea Republic's Ulsan Hyundai could seal their place in the last 16 of the 2019 AFC Champions League if they secure back-to-back wins over Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale on Tuesday.

Kim Su-an scored in added time on Matchday Three as 2012 champions Ulsan claimed a 1-0 victory over Kawasaki to move three points clear in Group H ahead of the return meeting at the Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium.

But a 1-0 league defeat to Seongnam FC on Saturday and elimination from the Korean FA Cup three days earlier meant Ulsan go into the game on a poor run of form that has seen them surrender top spot in K League 1.

Japanese champions Kawasaki, who will be without the suspended Tatsuya Hasegawa, are four points behind their opponents and know defeat could leave qualification for the next round unlikely.

Since losing in Ulsan, however, they have won back-to-back J.League games – including a 2-0 victory over Shonan Bellmare on Friday that moved them to seventh place in the standings.
