Relegation-threatened Sampdoria interested in bringing Kevin-Prince Boateng back to Serie A

Struggling Sampdoria are interested in bringing  Hertha Berlin forward Kevin-Prince Boateng back to Italy, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The 34-year-old is courting interest from the Italian outfit who are in the market for reinforcement.

Boateng returned to his boyhood club Hertha Berlin but sees his current deal runs out in the summer.

Sampdoria are believed to be interested in bringing the former Ghana international back to the Serie A.

It's been reported in Italy that both Hertha Berlin and Kevin Boateng  are yet to reach an agreement for an extension.

However, its unclear if Boateng will be interested in a return to Italy where he shone for giants AC Milan.

Sampdoria have sacked coach Roberto D’Aversa after a run of three consecutive defeats left them at risk of relegation from Serie A.

They are in desperate need of reinforcement and sees the former Barcelona man as the ideal candidate to fill the void and provide some impetus in their relegation fight.
