Interviewed by Canal Football Club, Senegalese international winger/forward M'Baye Niang (25), who's having the time of his life throughout his ongoing 2 season-long Stade Rennais spell, addressed with Olympique Marseille transfer rumours, stated: "First of all, I want to thank president Letang, who entrusted me with a position filled with honours and responsibilities. On my hand, I tried to give the best of me from day one, and I'd be overall willing to stay put. However, as the club officials know, if a top club stepped towards me, I might not reject them. Marseille actually got in touch with me, but, to date, there was no formal proposal from them. I know they are in some troubles, but they come from a huge history, and their fandom is a prominent one. Besides, I love the town, as well as the club and their general environment and premises. All in all, whatever happens, Rennes are going to keep a piece of my heart forever. Anyway, more French clubs inquired me about, as well as English ones". Former AC Milan, Watford and Torino player is still on a deal with Breton side until June 2023; his current market worth is set around 12 million euros, while Rennes' request on him stands at â‚¬20m.
