Rodrygo can enjoy the Copa Libertadores final while his recovery continues

Published on: 28 January 2021

Rodrygo Goes' injury will allow him to watch on as his former club Santos face Palmeiras in this Saturday's Copa Libertadores final.

Due to his injury, Rodrygo won't attend Real Madrid's game against Levante that same day. Although he is recovering from his muscle injury against Granada on December 23, he still has some way to go.

Those around the player are optimistic about his recovery and they think he could be back working on the pitches at Valdebebas as early as next week, though not doing much more than light work. The player himself is desperate to return, but knows that he needs to carefully manage this injury.

The most likely time for his return is March and probably towards the end of the month.

So for now, Rodrygo's attention is on his former club in Brazil. He'll spend Saturday evening glued to his television to cheer on the side he had been at since he was young.
