Roma star touted for Premier League switch

As one of the stars of Roma’s resurgent form in recent weeks Radja Nainggolan has been linked with a summer transfer to Chelsea.

Losing Brazilian midfielder Ramires in January as well as facing questions over the form of Cesc Fabregas, John Obi Mikel, and Nemanja Matic will likely force the Blues into signing a fresh face in the close-season.

Having already scouted the Belgian several times over the course of the season, Sky Sport Italia report that a new coach will be given the funds by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to swoop for the 27-year-old.

Furthermore, with Italy coach Antonio Conte one of the men shortlisted for the Chelsea hotseat it appears that the former Juventus boss will keenly grasp the opportunity to sign a player who has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri in the past.

Originally moving to Roma on a co-ownership deal from Cagliari in 2014, Nainggolan impressed at the Lupi and signed a permanent contract in last summer.
