Serie A quartet keen on Barcelona centre-back

Four Serie A sides are reportedly set to battle during January’s transfer window in an attempt to sign Barcelona defender Marc Bartra.

The 24-year-old has made only six appearances in the Spanish league so far this season, and a move away from the Camp Nou is now looking increasingly likely.

Catalan newspaper Sport have stated that Fiorentina, Inter, Juventus and AC Milan are all ready to pay the required €12 million price tag to secure the centre-back’s in-demand services.

Spanish side Sevilla are also interested in the Blaugrana outcast, with the Andalusians keen on replacing the injured Marco Andreolli.

Bartra was promoted to the Barcelona first team in 2012 after playing with the corresponding B team for three years, however he is now struggling to cement a place at the heart of the Catalans’ defence, with Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano being the preferred defensive pairing of coach Luis Enrique.
