Andrea Belotti will be out for several weeks after suffering a hamstring injury over the weekend, Torino revealed on Tuesday.
Belotti limped out of Torino's 1-0 loss to Roma on Sunday, with the Serie A club claiming he tore his right hamstring.
Torino did not specify how long the 27-year-old will be out, only that his condition would be evaluated "in the following weeks."
The 27-year-old has a significant muscular injury, according to preliminary MRI and ultrasound scans of his thigh, however, the exact timescale for recovery is unknown.
His recovery, however, will take place in the new year, and his participation in the Italian national team's World Cup playoff matches in Match is in doubt.
Belotti is expected to return to action in February, according to Italian media.
