Former South Africa international Matthew Booth has named Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori in his Absa Premier Soccer League Team of the Season.

Booth — who starred for Mamelodi Sundowns during his active career — chose Ofori in goal ahead of Daniel Akpeyi and Dennis Onyango following the Ghanaian impressive performance for Maritzburg United in the 2019/20 campaign.

The former Wa All Star custodian has kept ten clean sheets and conceded only fifteen goals in 22 games.

Maritzburg United youngster, Rushine De Reuck also got the nod in the heart of defence together with Cardoso where as Frosler and Chippa United’s Tercious Malepe are on the right and left rear respectively.

Sundowns Andile Jali, Lebogang Manyama and ex-Bafana Bafana skipper Dean Furman are the three midfielders while Serbian import Samir Nukovic, Themba Zwane and Gabadinho Mhango play upfront.

Ofori has been linked with a move to Sundowns in the summer.
