Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has revealed that Thomas Partey could be heading to England in the summer following his reluctance to sign a new deal with Atletico Madrid.
The Ghana international is yet to agree to a new deal despite offers from the Rojiblancos.
Partey has a €50m release which the Madrid outfit want to double and also improve his wages, but the Black Stars midfielder is bent on making a dream move to England.
Balague on his YouTube channel opened up on the midfield stalwart's situation at Atletico, and Arsenal's chances of making a move on the player in the summer transfer window.
“What I am hearing, he has a buyout clause of €50m, and Atletico would like him to sign a new contract,” Balague said. “But he is not signing a new contract, that is as much as I can tell you.
“Has there been contact? There was a very clear possibility of him moving to England last summer. Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all enquired. That is as much as we can say.” The in-demand midfielder is also on the radar of Italian giants Juventus and French champions Paris Saint Germain.
