Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic has defended his decision to hand striker Emmanuel Baffour his first senior national team call-up.
The New Edubiase player, who has scored 11 goals in 11 Premier League games, was the only outfield local player to make the provisional 25-man squad for the tournament.
Baffour was a member of the Ghana Under-23 team who got eliminated from the 2012 London Olympics qualifiers.
Pundits say his scoring exploit could be a flash in the pan.
But the Serbian trainer says the 21-year-old fits the bill.
"Baffour is playing good and scoring goals and that is why I decided to call him," Stevanovic said.
