Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah is delighted with his return to the national team and wants to make the most out of it.

The 22-year-old was left out of the country’s squad that played at the 2012 African Cup of Nations due to lack of form.

He joined Ukrainian top flight side Arsenal Kiev on a six-month loan deal from parent club Italian giants AC Milan.

Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah surprised many when he recalled him into the team after tasting regular team action for his new club despite failing to score in a competitive match.

But the former Golden Shoe recipient at the 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup is eager to impress in Ghana colours again.

“It was hard for me not to part of the team for the African Cup of Nations but I believe everything that transpired did happen for a reason,” Adiyiah said

“I am happy to be back into the team and plan staying for a long time.

“I know I would be a success as I can feel the trust of the coach which is paramount for every player to succeed.

“The two upcoming two games are not going to be easy as the latter are the current African Champions.

“It wouldn’t be about who gets the chance to play but the success of the team is paramount. I would be thrilled to bang in the goals on my return to make it a memorable one,”
