Talented right-back Benson Anang has been handed his debut call-up to the Black Stars for next month's friendly against Mali.
Anang has been rewarded for his impressive performances in the Slovakian top-flight with MŠK Žilina.
He is among five debutants invited by coach Akonnor for the friendly, which will be played in Antalya, Turkey.
The friendly encounter will be played on October 10. It will be behind closed doors and under strict COVID-19 protocols.
The match forms part of the team's preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in November.
The 20-year-old joined MŠK Žilina in 2018, signing a five-year contract.
