Techiman City FC head coach Yusif Abubakar has praised his players for picking their first ever away point in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Citizens put up a brave fight to draw 1-1 with New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Techiman City FC took the lead through former Edubiase striker Stephen Manu in the 69th minute after Iddrisu Mohammed cancelled James Boadu’s 11th minute lead.

"We have gotten one point away and it isn't easy at all. I think I have to congratulate the players for fighting very hard and for every beating another mental toughness so I'm happy that they stuck to what I asked them to do on the field," Abubakar said.

“Tactically, they did that but there are lots of things we to correct.

"Despite that we had one point football is full of mistakes. We still have to look at certain areas and make sure that we correct them for the future games."
