Any club that can meet Atletico Madrid's £44.5 million release clause will get the signature of  sought-after Thomas Partey, the midfielder's father has revealed.

Partey, who turns 27 on Saturday, has been consistently linked with a move from the Wanda Metropolitano with a year left on his current deal.

The Ghana international has dragged his feet over a fresh contract as speculation surrounding his long-term future continues to whirl in the media.

Arsenal are believed to be the most serious contending club for his signature but the player's father, Jacob Partey has sent a transfer updates to suitors.

‘My son’s current club Atletico Madrid has a release clause in Partey’s deal…this means that any club which shows interest in signing him must meet those demands,’ Jacob Partey told SilverFM.

‘So any team which meets Atletico’s demand will be able to sign my son and not specifically Arsenal as rumoured in a section of the media. ‘I always call my son and he is of age to decide on a move…I am ready to support his decision.’

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen on recruiting a box-to-box midfielder in the summer and has identified the 26-year-old as a top priority target.
