TOTTENHAM - Kane \'it feels like we failed\'

Published on: 16 May 2016

Tottenham's Harry Kane has told Spurs TV that finishing the league behind Arsenal feels like a failure for the club - after Tottenham's 5-1 defeat to already relegated Newcastle on the last day of the season.

The Englishman, who scored 25 goals this season, securing the golden boot stated:

'We've had a fantastic season but the last four weeks haven't been good enough.

'It's going to be hard for the fans but the bigger picture is we are going to be playing Champions League football next season.

'It's nice to win it (the Golden Boot) but obviously it would have been better to win it in better circumstances.

'We feel like we've failed and it will leave a bad taste over the summer but at the start of the season we'd have taken it.'
