Premier League club Tottenham have renewed their interest in Tariq Lamptey and they hope to snap up the Brighton right-back in the January transfer window.

Antonio Conte, who admires the right-back, has given his concern for the club to sign. Lamptey, who has Ghanaian blood, has demonstrated his incredible this season following his return from a long injury layoff.

Manchester United, were originally, seen as principal contenders to sign the 24-year-old, but latest reports claim Tottenham are more “concrete” than the Reds.

It would cost Tottenham about £50 million to make this deal happen, and most believe Conte will not be able to pry the talented youngster away from the Seagulls until the summer.

Lamptey is a serious talent. And while Brighton are a great club, they know it’s only a matter of time before he moves on to pastures new.

Lamptey is an England youth international but that has not stopped the Ghana Football Association from trying to convince him to play for the Black Stars.
