Manager Erik Ten Hag Clears The Air On Casemiro’s Red Card Decision
Premier League rules stated that a player who picks up five yellow cards in their first 19 league matches of the season will be suspended for the next game.
The Brazilian was booked for a foul he committed on Wilfried Zaha in the second half which rules him out of the Premier League duel with Arsenal on Sunday as he has already been booked four times in the previous games.
The Manager had made his statement and according to him, he has no regrets about playing Casemiro in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
“First, this game was important,” Ten Hag stressed. “Every game in the Premier League is a top game”.
“Second is Casemiro is obviously a really important player for us, he’s one of the reasons we are where we are now”.
“But last time we beat Arsenal, we were without Casemiro, so we have a squad, we have to fill the gap, make a proper plan and the squad have to fill it and make sure, as a team.”We already showed how to beat Arsenal.”
United’s 1-1 draw with Palace on Wednesday evening was their 19th league match of the season and the Reds aim to continue in their winning ways as they hope to enter the race of Title contenders.
