UDS defeats KNUST to make it two straight wins in GUSA Games

University of Development Studies made Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology their second victim in the soccer category of the University Games currently ongoing at Winneba.

The northerners capitalized on a loan goal scored in the first half of the game to climb to the summit of the table after defeating University of Ghana 2-1 in their first game.

Goalkeeper Lukman Sheriff of UDS displayed a man of the match performance in both games to deny their opponents access to goal.

University of Cape Coast also beat the host institution University of Education, Winneba by a lone goal in the ongoing Ghana University games in Winneba courteys Asem Lawel's strike 10 minutes into the game.

The match which was between the host institution and the defending champion was played on the high note and recorded the highest number of spectators in the competition.

In the other matches played, University of Ghana beat University of Professional Studies by 3-0.

UCC and UDS now leads the table with six points each. UCC will log horns with KNUST this afternoon whiles UDS will play University for professional studies.
