Veteran defender John Pantsil is convinced youngster Jordan Ayew will be Ghanaââ¬â¢s poster boy at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals Brazil.
Ayew gained global attention after grabbing his first-ever international hat trick in Ghanaââ¬â¢s 4-0 thrashing of South Korea in a pre-World Cup friendly.
Pantsil, who played alongside the 22-year-old at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, believes the Marseille striker will make a huge impact.
ââ¬ÅJordan is one player who doesnââ¬â¢t really care about the praises or the backlash from the fans,â⬠the former Fulham defender told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅHe keeps to himself and does his job quietly. I believe his talent was meant to be unlocked at a point in time and this world cup could definitely be the stage.
ââ¬ÅI am constantly in contact with the team and I have a feeling the unity in camp is deep, whenever the feeling is this way the outcome is always positive.ââ¬
Ayewââ¬â¢s hat trick has seen him now rake in 5 goals for the Black Stars in 13 appearances.
