According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa have tabled a £4.1m bid for Hellas Verona goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. The 21-year-old made a total of 27 appearances for Verona last season. That was very much his breakthrough season into first-team football.
Goalkeeper coach at Villa, Massimo Battara, has identified Gollini as someone who can make an instant impact to the club. Not only that, but he has the potential to further enhance his capabilities as a goalkeeper.
