Ghana and Asante Kotoko defender Awal Mohammed has refused to travel to Morocco to seal a reported move to Wydad Casablanca.
The former Maritzburg United defender was last week strongly linked to a swift switch to Wyda Casablanca last week.
The club had sent their proposal to the defender which was aimed at doubling his lucrative contract he had with their city rivals Raja Casablanca.
Awal has rediscovered his verve and is one of the key players for Asante Kotoko’s team. His is also a key member of the local Black Stars but he has decided against a move that would have raised his pocket.
Awal returned to Kotoko after a problem with Raja Casablanca that denied him the opportunity Arsenal Tula.
