Black Queens captain Mercy Myles is confident the team will perform better in this year’s African Women’s Championship.

Ghana advanced to the final after beating Tunisia 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon to seal a 6-1 aggregate win.

Samira Suleiman opened the scoring in the 26th minute and Portia Boakye doubled the lead with a header six minutes later.

Priscilla Adobea made it three on 75 minutes and then Suleman grabbed a brace.

At the last tournament in Namibia, the Queens failed to progress from the Group stage and Myles says they will do well this time round.

"In all our previous tournaments in the AWC we had bad performances and nothing much to write home about, this time around we are hopeful that we will make a positive impact," she said in a post-match interview

The 2016 African Women’s Championship will be hosted by Cameroon from 19 November to 03 December.
